**These hubs are not kept in stock, these are prepay and wait for them to be machined. Please check with us if you are in a rush, typically we will make a batch once we have sold 5 sets, so you will be preordering and waiting due to the cost of inventory and the custom nature of these hubs.**
This is our custom, CNC machined, chromoly 5 lug front hub kit to convert your Nissan 2 wheel drive pickup (see below for specifics) to a 5 bolt wheel lug pattern for better wheel choices! This is a bolt on conversion, no messing around, it uses the stock brake rotors and pads, stock wheels seals and bearings, and stock dust cap. If you can do a complete brake job with packing bearings, you can install this kit at home yourself! On some models, there is a lip on each tin dust shield that will need to be trimmed down to clear the hub. Brake rotors not included
Fits:
1983-1995 Nissan 2 wheel drive D21/Hardbody
1996-1997 Nissan Hardbody with 4 cylinder brakes only
1998-2002 Nissan Frontier standard cab and extra cab with 4 cylinder brakes only
The hubs will come standard in 5x114.3mm (5x4.5") bolt pattern, with room to drill another bolt pattern if desired, at an additional charge. Please email us, if you need a different bolt pattern.
The hubs use brake rotors for 1989-1994 Toyota 2 wheel drive pickup, that are the same diameter and thickness as the Nissan rotor but the attach with 5 bolts. The hubs are hub centric, machined to a hub bore of 64.1mm, when you order, you will need to supply your wheel hub center bore diameter so we can supply you with the appropriate hub centric rings to keep your front wheels perfectly centered for a safe and smooth ride! Brake rotors are not supplied with this kit, you can purchase the rotors from your auto parts supplier with the part number we provide.
We use a thread in wheel stud conversion style stud with 12mm x 1.5 threads, instead of the euro studs we used to use. This provides you with an easier wheel install. The studs stick out 32mm (1.26") from the hub, please verify that you your wheels will work with this length stud and make sure you use the correct style seat on your wheel nuts to match your wheels! These are a "Race Quality" wheel stud, not the cheapest ones we could find! They are made in Europe, 10.9 grade hardness, black zinc coated.
Hub Centric rings available in the following wheel hub bore dimensions, please specify which size you need when ordering:
67.1, 72.6, 73.1, 74.1, 76
Kit includes:
2 hubs, 10 wheel studs, 10 rotor to hub bolts, 2 hub centric rings
**updated pictures with wheel studs coming soon**
For the rear of a Nissan, I recommend installing a 4 bar suspension of some type and a Toyota pickup rear differential (see below for width specs), You may choose to keep the Nissan rear end, if you aren’t going super low and large wheels, a local machine shop or some race car shops should be able to re-drill your rear axles, I won’t be doing re-drilling the rear axles as shipping is expensive, I am in Canada, and most competent machine shops or race car shops can do that, for most 5 bolt patterns only one or two stud holes need to be welded, then machine the face smooth, leaving the drum centering tabs to centre the drum, but machining them down flush with the face of the drums to not interfere with new wheel centre bore. Then drill the desired 5 bolt pattern. Before reinstalling the wheel studs, stand the axle in the drum, in the reverse position and mark and drill each hole( easy to drill with a standard 1/2” drill). Then reinstall the wheel studs.
If you plan to body drop or run 20s or bigger you will likely need to do a narrower rear end. You can get a Toyota rear end from a 2 wheel drive Toyota pickup truck, from the wreckers that is narrower, and is 5x4.5” bolt pattern. You will want to get the last 4 inches of drive shaft and yoke that bolts to the rear end. You will need to have the toyota yoke welded in place of your yoke on your Nissan drive shaft and I believe you will need to shorten the driveshaft slightly. This can be done by a drive shaft specialty shop or some machine shops, it is a common thing for drive shaft shops to do, and quite simple, should cost about $100-$200 including rebalancing the shaft.
